Very interesting place, with a spectacular fortress on a high cliff; impressive architecture; the Lefe beer museum is a little more commercialised than I like; the cave Grotte La merveilleuse is impressive. There are several castles and castle ruins around from different historical periods. Great place to visit! Kayaking and rock climbing is also a thing here, although it's not our cup of tea.

Offers a variety of options for short and longer trips. All main attractions are within walking distance (from an European perspective). Dinant can also be your central point for visiting that part of Belgium. France is also not that far away.

went for a weekend to explore, beautiful place.
the one ticket that includes the cable car, tour of the citadel and then the boat trip is a bargain, next time Ill choose the 2hr boat trip instead of the 45 minutes, so relaxing.
lots of resteraunts to choose from although it pays to book ahead in the evenings.
the town itself is very clean and tidy, no rubbish anywhere.

Dinant is a charming spot on the River Meuse.
Dinant is a charming spot on the River Meuse. It is well provided with restaurants, less well so with accommodation in the centre. Although there are good train links to/from Brussels a car is probably necessary to make the most of a visit.

A pearl, glad we chose to discover it in our trip to Belgium. After Brussels and Ghent, it's so nice to see different landscape. Beautiful, beautiful small town with incredible history and historical places
Excellent location in the centre of Dinant, a short walk from bars, shops and restaurants. The covered parking (private garage with an electric roller-shutter door) was really helpful to us as we had an SUV with a roof-box and the vehicle fitted in to the garage easily. Good communications from the owner and a very nice apartment. Note: The stairs are steep so someone with mobility issues may have problems - suggest you discuss with owner if this could be a concern. Dinant is well worth a visit (birth place of the inventor of the saxophone).
We stayed in one of the rooms in the new building, and it was amazing! The room was divided in a bedroom (with airconditioning!) And a separate room with infrared sauna and bathroom. All was very nicely decorated and there was also a very large balcony to enjoy with a view of the garden. The bed was super comfy, and the breakfast is very nice as well. Very much fun to take a Leffe tour and have some beers on the patio of the hotel, and within 10 minutes walking you are at the Dinant citadel so the location could also not be any better.
A charming vintage property. Situated in the centre of an attractive little town (near Dinant), that is worth exploring. Very well stocked. Easy to access even if arriving late. Can cook meals there. Bed sheets on the beds and towels in the bathroom. Easy to park close in the square outside the property.
Thoughtful host. Information how to get to the nearest supermarket was helpful for better food prices. We drove closer to Dinant, parked and walked in across a bridge.
We would definitely go back!
This is an amazing place! It is organized so well, so comfortable, right in the centre of Dinant, parking is a breeze, and is an absolutely gorgeous home. The value for money is very good and it’s truly an excellent get-away for friends and family. Communication with Nele was so easy and she was so responsive. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer.
There are only two rooms and we were the only guests, which gave us a lot of privacy. We particularly loved the view over Dinant from the terrace. The host, Jean-Philippe, was available to help and give us some directions but otherwise left us to enjoy our time on our own, which we appreciated very much. We had a great stay!
Book a room with a river view. Rooms are cooler, and windows can be opened.
We were lucky and didn't experience noise. But it can be very noisy on the river side. Not so much from the terrace underneath, but Dinant people love very loud motorcycles and fast driving across the river.
Ps. Free parking next to hotel
What is there not to like when you stay at the Leffe beer museum? The hotel was lovely with big rooms, great views, lovely garden with all Leffe beers available, excellent breakfast and a tour in Leffe beer museum. I strongly recommend everybody to take their time :)
Our stay at this B&B was delightful. The room was large, clean and beautifully decorated. It is in a prime location and there is enough to see and do in Dinant to fill in a couple of days. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming.
Great Hotel, amazing staff at welcome and at check-out .
Quite location , great escape from loud and congested metropolitans. Jus perfect . Shame we booked only one night .
It was the cheapest in that part of Belgium but I regret it.
By opening the window you can hear the birds singing but with that smell in your lungs you cannot enjoy it.
The location, once we knew where we were, was perfect for us. La Belle Étable does not sit right in the town but more on the outskirts of Dinant. For us this was good.
Location is great in the city center of Dinant. Also, two small playgrounds close by for the kids.
Very good basic apartment with all the amenities you need!
